Flowers hold a special place in my heart, taking me back to my childhood in Curaçao, where my aunt ran a vibrant flower shop. The fragrant air was filled with the scent of blooms, and I can still picture her carefully crafting bouquets for every occasion. When she stepped out to make a delivery, I would sneak into her shop and pretend I was arranging my own creations, my hands imitating her graceful movements.
This early connection to flowers shaped my creative journey, and orchids, in particular, have become a profound source of inspiration for Goldiie.
Orchids are more than just flowers—they are symbols of beauty’s complexity. Their intricate forms, vibrant colors, and delicate textures remind us that beauty is not one-dimensional. It is layered, evolving, and open to interpretation. At Goldiie, I strive to echo this sentiment in my work by reimagining and reconstructing flowers to reflect my personal vision of beauty.
Each orchid in our collection undergoes a transformation, becoming a canvas for creativity. Hand-painted layers, rubber textures, and resin epoxy coatings are my way of adding depth and individuality. These layers represent the evolving nature of beauty—a dynamic interplay between nature’s elegance and human expression.
Through this process, I aim to celebrate the unique stories flowers tell while infusing them with a touch of my own. Just as orchids symbolize refinement and resilience, our handcrafted designs carry a story of creativity, passion, and the reinterpretation of what beauty can mean.
